Data advance knowledge in breast cancer research

Breast cancer data are the focus of recent research from Japan and Italy.

Study 1: Tobacco smoke and smoking increases the risk of breast cancer in premenopausal Japanese women, report cancer prevention specialists.

T. Hanaoka and colleagues with Japan's National Cancer Center said, "To examine the hypothesis that tobacco smoke is associated with the risk of female breast cancer, we estimated the relative risks of active and passive smoke in middle-aged Japanese women in a population-based prospective study.
