Electrical impedance findings strongly correlated with early cancer detection

A significant correlation exists between breast cancer risk and electrical impedance scanning (EIS) results, researchers reported May 9, 2005, at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists' 53rd Annual Clinical Meeting. The study was led by Alexander Stojadinovic, MD, vice-chairman of surgery at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. Researchers categorized 1,163 women into 6 risk categories ranging from very low risk for breast cancer to very high risk for breast cancer based on clinical and biopsy findings.
