Data on osteoporosis are outlined in reports from the United States, United Kingdom and Netherlands. Study 1: Study results show that vitamin D levels in south Florida residents are statistically significantly higher at the end of summer than at the end of winter. "Hypovitaminosis D is associated with impaired neuromuscular function, bone loss, and fractures. If a person is not taking a vitamin supplement, sun exposure is often the greatest source of vitamin D.
