FDG-PET was used to manage cervical and ovarian cancer. In a recent article published in the journal Gynecologic Oncology, scientists in the United States conducted a study "to assess the diagnostic performance of Positron Emission Tomography using fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG-PET) in comparison to conventional imaging modalities in the assessment of patients with cervical and ovarian cancer.
