Logistic regression compared to artificial neural network for cancer diagnosis

The efficacy of logistic regression was compared to artificial neural network in diagnosing breast masses. In a recently published study, investigators in the United States conducted a study "to compare logistic regression and artificial neural network for computer-aided diagnosis on breast sonograms." "Ultrasound images of 24 malignant and 30 benign masses were analyzed quantitatively for margin sharpness, margin echogenicity, and angular variation in margin.
