Cervical cancer vaccine produces high anti-HPV immune response in adolescents

Gardasil, Merck & Co., Inc.'s, investigational quadrivalent human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, produced higher anti-HPV immune responses among adolescent males and females compared to young women, according to a recent study.

Gardasil is an investigational vaccine designed to prevent infection from four common HPV types - 16, 18, 6, and 11 - and related cervical cancer, cervical precancers, and genital warts.
