Navy women have higher incidence of first hospitalization for asthma than men

Over a 20-year period, incidence of first hospitalization for asthma of women enlisted in the U.S. Navy was three times that of men, and the rate for black women was twice that of white women, study data reveal. University of California, San Diego, researchers evaluated "trends and demographic risk factors for hospitalization for asthma."
