Hand-held rotational core biopsy device wins Medical Design Excellence Award

Sanarus Medical, Inc. announced that the Cassi Rotational Core Biopsy Device for the diagnosis of breast disease has received a 2005 Medical Design Excellence Award (MDEA). The award recognizes the Cassi Biopsy Device, the first hand-held large-core biopsy device on the market to be both automated and disposable post procedure, as an innovation that benefits clinicians. Jurors on the award panel noted that Cassi requires no set-up or capital equipment investment, offering breast care physicians savings of time and money.
