Findings advance knowledge in breast cancer research

Reports from Finland, the South Korea and the United States highlight recent research on breast cancer. Study 1: The n-acetyltransferase 2 slow acetylator genotype may be a key modifier of environmentally-induced breast cancer risk in Finnish women. "N-acetyltransferase 2 (NAT2) is a polymorphic enzyme participating in the metabolism of numerous pharmaceutical drugs and carcinogens found in tobacco smoke and diet.
