Researchers provide details of new studies and findings in the area of breast cancer

New findings from the United Kingdom and United States describe advances in breast cancer. Study 1: According to published research from England, "Fulvestrant (Faslodex) is a new type of estrogen receptor (ER) antagonist that binds, blocks, and degrades the ER, leading to reduced expression of the progesterone receptor (PgR). "Unlike the selective ER modulator tamoxifen, fulvestrant is devoid of any known agonist activity." N.
