Studies describe new findings in breast cancer research

Investigators in the United States have published new breast cancer data. Study 1: An analysis of data from the Iowa Women's Health Study indicates that prevention of weight gain, or loss and then maintenance of weight between age 18 and the onset of menopause reduces women's risk of postmenopausal breast cancer. "Obesity and adult weight gain are well-established risk factors for postmenopausal breast cancer.
