Reports advance knowledge in cervical cancer research

Reports from the Germany; katja_lindel@med, Japan and United States highlight recent research on cervical cancer. Study 1: A patient's human papillomavirus status is a prognostic indicator of outcome of radiation treatment for cervical cancer, study data show. "Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection plays a major role in oncogenesis of squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix.
