Sentinel node biopsy use by Oregon surgeons evaluated

The extent of sentinel node adaptation by Oregon surgeons has been evaluated. "The sentinel node biopsy (SNB) technique is an important tool in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and melanoma," oncologists in the United States explained. "However, surgeons in Oregon have not universally adopted its use." In a recent study, J.R. Garreau and coauthors at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland used a "mailed questionnaire" to examine SNB use by Oregon surgeons.
