NuvaRing active ingredients don't interact with antibiotics

A study from NV Organon, which manufactures the NuvaRing contraceptive device, indicates that the active contraceptive ingredients in NuvaRing, etonogestrel and ethinylestradiol, don't interact with either amoxicillin or doxycycline. This suggests, say the company's researchers, that NuvaRing's efficacy shouldn't be compromised in women taking the antibiotics. P.
