New drug submission filed in Canada for metastatic breast cancer treatment

American Pharmaceutical Partners, Inc., (APP) (APPX) said that a new drug submission for ABRAXANE has been filed with the Therapeutic Products Directorate (TPD) of Health Canada. The submission seeks Health Canada's approval to market ABRAXANE in Canada for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer. "We are pleased to be taking this next step toward expanding our marketing of ABRAXANE throughout North America," said APP president and chief executive officer Alan Heller.
