Hormone receptor status is an independent predictor of survival outcome in women with breast cancer, according to a study from Columbia University. V.R. Grann and colleagues evaluated "hormone receptor status as an independent predictor of survival in a population-based cohort of women with breast carcinoma who were followed for up to 11 years."
