Cancer screening research advances have been reported from the United States and Canada. Study 1: U.S. women over age 50 who keep current on their breast and cervical cancer tests have a higher rate of colorectal cancer (CRC) screening than women who aren't compliant, but the overall CRC screening rate is low even in this population. "Gender-based psychosocial factors appear to influence colorectal cancer screening adherence.
