Siemens Medical Solutions SOMATOM Sensation 64 computed tomography (CT) system has won the gold award in the 2005 Medical Design of Excellence Awards (MDEA). The Sensation 64 was recognized by judgds for the system's excellent engineering and innovative design, identifying it as "a paradigm shift in CT scanning technology."
