Amphotericin B vaginal suppositories are effective for refractory infection. The effectiveness of amphotericin B vaginal suppositories for the treatment of non-albicans Candida vaginitis in women who failed conventional therapy was investigated by A.J. Phillips and colleagues, University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Thirty-two patients were identified with non-albicans Candida vaginitis.
