Reports add new data to obstetrics research

Data on obstetrics are outlined in reports from the United Kingdom and Hungary. Study 1: Coagulation status of pregnant women as determined by thrombelastography is associated with mid-trimester loss of the pregnancy, but not complications occurring later in gestation, researchers in England report. "There is much interest in the relationship between coagulation status and complications of pregnancy. The thrombelastograph (TEG) has been proposed as a useful, inexpensive tool to screen for patients with hypercoaguable states," according to F.M.
