Study finds subcutaneous drain does not prevent wound complications. In a recent article published in the journal Obstetrics and Gynecology, scientists in the United States conducted a multicenter randomized trial "to compare the efficacy of subcutaneous suture reapproximation alone with suture plus subcutaneous drain for the prevention of wound complications in obese women undergoing cesarean delivery."
