U.S. Patent office sends allowance for attention deficit, hyperactivity drug

Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SPPI) announced that it has received from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) a Notice of Allowance for its patent application for SPI-339 entitled "Methods for Treating Cognitive/Attention Deficit Disorders Using Tetrahydroindolone Analogues and Derivatives." This patent, when issued, will protect SPI-339 for use in the treatment of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders (ADHD) and other neurological disorders and will not expire until 2021.
