Nutritionals, weight management products company reports Q2 2005 sales, profits

USANA Health Sciences Inc. (USNA) announced record financial results for the second fiscal quarter of 2005 ended July 2, 2005. The company achieved record net sales in the second quarter of $82 million, an increase of 22%, compared with $67.2 million in the second quarter of 2004. This growth was primarily driven by a 20% increase in the number of active associates and double-digit, year-over-year net sales gains achieved in all but one of the company's 12 markets. Earnings from operations in the second quarter of 2005 grew 31.3% to $14.7 million, or 18% of net sales, compared with $11.2 million, or 16.7% of net sales, in the second quarter of 2004....
