Medical devices company receives approval to sell breast biopsy system in Canada

Medical device maker Suros Surgical Systems, Inc., recently gained approval to sell its ATEC (Automated Tissue Excision and Collection) breast biopsy and excision system in Canada. The ATEC system has been commercially available in the U.S. for more than 4 years and is used in more than 400 breast centers and hospitals. Availability of the ATEC Sapphire in Canada will give the estimated women a choice in minimally invasive biopsy methods using ultrasound and stereotactic mammography (x-ray) guidance.
