BMP/SMAD pathway may play role in progression of ER-positive tumors

The BMP/SMAD pathway may be involved in the progression of estrogen receptor-positive breast tumors. "Estrogen receptor expression is generally a sign of better tumor differentiation and comparatively good clinical outcome in invasive breast cancer," oncologists in Germany explained.
