Maker of breast cancer detection system receives $2.1 million additional funding

Infrared Sciences Corporation (ISC) has announced that it has completed a $2.1 million series B preferred stock financing. The capital is to be used to market Sentinel BreastScan. ISC completed a $1 million series A stock financing in October 2004. Utilizing infrared imaging and software using artificial intelligence techniques, Sentinel BreastScan is designed to be used as an adjunctive test with mammography, ultrasound or clinical examination for the early detection of breast cancer.
