Perceptions of insurance coverage may deter women from mammography screening

Perceptions of inadequate insurance coverage may deter women from taking advantage of mammography screening. According to a recent report published in Cancer,"Breast carcinoma remains a significant health problem in the U.S., especially among underserved populations. Although screening mammography is recommended for early detection, in 2002, approximately 25% of women age >40 years had not had a mammogram within the past 2 years." A.S.
