Mitral mechanical replacement proves to be safe for pregnant women with rheumatic disease. Scientists in Italy performed "a follow-up study to assess long-term survival, valve-related complications, and pregnancy outcomes in young rheumatic women undergoing isolated mitral mechanical replacement.
