Investigators in 2005;16(6):681-690), the United States and Belgium have published new osteoporosis data. Study 1: Lifestyle changes can minimize risk for distal forearm fractures in people with low bone mass. According to recent research published in the journal Osteoporosis International, "A case-control study of 1,150 female and male distal forearm cases and 2,331 controls of age 45 years and older was undertaken from 1996-2001 in five Northern California Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers.
