Chart developed to help women learn tests for early breast cancer detection

Tirza Derflinger, founder of The Thermogram Center in Louisville, Kentucky, and other breast health specialists have developed a simple chart to help women understand each available breast test. The chart describes six breast tests: self-exams, palpation exams, thermography, mammography, ultrasounds, and MRIs, and is available at Thermogram Center web site. While the focus of some exams is on palpable tissue changes, others look at masses, tissue characteristics, cancerous activities, or blood supply. Each test complements the others.
