Effects of radiation therapy studied on esophageal transit in breast cancer

Investigators analyzed the effects of radiation therapy on esophageal transit in patients with inner quadrant breast tumor. "The aim of this study was to evaluate quantitatively the effect of low doses of radiation therapy on the esophageal transit in patients with inner quadrant breast carcinoma. Eighteen female patients with locally advanced inner quadrant breast tumor were included in this study," scientists writing in the journal Nuclear Medicine Communications reported.
