Breast cancer risk, alcohol intake in Japanese women studied

A prospective study of breast cancer risk and alcohol intake in Japanese women was recently reported in the International Journal of Cancer.

"Epidemiologic evidence is lacking for the association between alcohol consumption and the risk of breast cancer in Japanese women." Investigators from Japan " addressed this association in a prospective cohort study with an average follow-up of 7.6 years."
