Reports add new data to breast cancer research

Data on breast cancer are outlined in reports from the United Kingdom. Study 1: Low levels of 25-hydroxy vitamin D [25(OH)D] and polymorphisms in the vitamin D receptor gene (VDR) increased the risk of breast cancer. "Low levels of 25(OH)D and polymorphisms in VDR have been found separately to increase risk of breast cancer.
