Breast cancer data are the focus of recent research from the United States, Italy and France. Study 1: BRCA1 depletion boosts the proliferation of mammary epithelial cells. "Cumulative evidence indicates that breast cancer-associated gene 1 (BRCA1) participates in DNA damage repair and cell-cycle checkpoint control, serving as a tumor susceptibility gene to maintain the global genomic stability.
