The relationship between polymorphism lle655Val and breast cancer risk was studied by researchers at Harvard University. "The erbB2 (HER2/neu) gene is found amplified in tumors. A single nucleotide polymorphism at codon 655 (lle655Val) has been studied in a number of case-control studies with respect to breast cancer risk, with conflicting results," scientists in the United States report.
