Researchers evaluate criteria for decisions on breast conservation therapy

Evaluating criteria for decisions on breast conservation therapy was the focus of a study published in the Annals of Surgical Oncology. "Tumor downstaging by preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy in patients with locally advanced breast tumors allows breast conservation in women who were previously candidates for mastectomy," stated researchers in Israel.
