Serum CA-125 levels don't predict results

Serum CA-125 levels are not correlated with the chance of pregnancy after in vitro fertilization (IVF). In a recent study, scientists in Hungary sought to determine "whether serum levels of CA-125, a proposed marker of endometrial receptivity, are associated with pregnancy after IVF." "Forty-two IVF pregnancies were matched with nonpregnant controls," while "28 additional unmatched pregnancies were included for the comparison of pregnancy outcomes," explained E.E.
