The addition of fulvestrant to the endocrine treatment strategy was recently evaluated. According to recent research from England, "Fulvestrant, a new type of estrogen receptor antagonist with no agonist effects, is now licensed in the E.U. and U.S.A. for the treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone-sensitive advanced breast cancer following progression on prior antiestrogen therapy.
