Maker reports sales of its new mammography CAD system to California company

October 13th, 2005

Eastman Kodak Company announced the initial sale of 14 Kodak Mammography CAD Systems to InSight Health Corp., Lake Forest, California.

The Kodak Mammography CAD System has a fast high-resolution film digitizer and the ability to accept up to 10 mammography cases at a time.

Kodak's CAD system helps identify suspicious areas on patients' digitized mammograms so radiologists can closely examine these regions for possible disease during a second review

Clinical trial results show that 39.4 of missed breast cancers could have been detected 14.8 months earlier using Kodak CAD technology.
