Trocar-associated injuries and fatalities examined

Researchers report trocar-associated injuries and fatalities in a recent issue of the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology. According to a study from the United States, "Laparoscopic trocars, medical devices used to gain access into the abdominal cavity, are the most common device named in malpractice injury claims associated with laparoscopic procedures.
