Reports advance knowledge in breast cancer research

Reports from the E-mail: esinglet@mdanderson, United States and Australia highlight recent research on breast cancer.

Study 1: The effectiveness of invasive versus non-invasive breast cancer therapies was evaluated in a recent review.

A study published in the journal Annals of Surgery "examined treatment trends in invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) over the last 15 years and, in particular, compared rates of recurrence and disease-free survival associated with breast conservation therapy compared with mastectomy."
