Increased spatial resolution greatly improves diagnostic confidence and accuracy at magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, but at the expense of temporal resolution.

Scientists in Germany conducted a study "to investigate prospectively the trade-off between temporal and spatial resolution in dynamic contrast material-enhanced bilateral MR imaging of the breast. Informed consent and institutional review board approval were obtained."
