Investigators in the E-mail: Shumin and United States have published new breast cancer data. Study 1: Folate intake was examined for its role in risk reduction in certain breast cancers. "Folate plays an important role in DNA methylation, and aberrant methylation of the estrogen receptor (ER) gene may be related to the loss of ER gene expression in breast tumors," investigators in the United States report.
