Breast cancer research advances have been reported from the United States, Spain and Australia. Study 1: Scientists assessed the risk and benefit of radiation therapy (BT) after breast-conserving surgery (BCS) for ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). Researchers in the United States conducted a study "to assess women's preferences regarding the trade-off between the risks and benefits of treatment with BT after BCS for DCIS.
