Adjuvant radiotherapy increases survival among women with p53 gene alterations

Adjuvant radiotherapy substantially increases survival in endometrioid endometrial carcinomas among women with p53 gene alterations.

"P53 genetic alterations are associated with advanced stage and aggressive tumors in a variety of human malignancies." Researchers from the United States examined "p53 for genetic alterations to evaluate the association of these alterations with clinical outcome and response to adjuvant radiotherapy in endometrioid endometrial carcinomas."
