DCL Medical Laboratories educates customers on use of HPV test for cervical cancer screening

Digene Corp. (DIGE) announced that DCL Medical Laboratories, a women's-health-focused lab serving the Indianapolis, Indiana and St. Louis, Missouri regions, is offering its customers the Digene HPV [human papilloma virus] Test for cervical cancer screening, and educating them on its use in accordance with expert consensus guidelines. The Digene HPV Test, also known as the DNAwithPap Test, is, according to the company, the only U.S. Food & Drug Administration-approved test for high-risk types of HPV, which cause virtually all cases of cervical cancer.
