Fertility drugs were not seen to affect the risk of melanoma, thytoid, cervical or colon cancer. Investigators in the United States undertook "a study to evaluate melanoma, thyroid, colon, and cervical cancer risks after clomiphene or gonadotropins. A retrospective cohort of 8422 women (155,527 women-years) were evaluated for infertility between 1965-1988." "Through 1999," M. D. Althuis and colleagues ascertained "cancers by questionnaire, cancer and death registries. Poisson regression estimated adjusted rate ratios (RRs).
