Breast cancer research advances have been reported from France, Brazil and the United States. Study 1: Hypoxia-inducible factor-1 alpha overexpression predicts early breast cancer relapse. "Hypoxia-inducible factor-1 alpha (HIF-1 alpha) is a transcription factor that is involved in tumor growth and metastasis by regulating genes involved in response to hypoxia.
