Researchers' data advance breast cancer research

Data on breast cancer are outlined in reports from elevine@cooper and the United States. Study 1: Avenues of support for women diagnosed with breast cancer were explored in a study from the California Pacific Medical Center. Researchers from the United States report, "The diagnosis of cancer is a traumatic experience, which may result in post-traumatic stress symptoms, such as arousal, re-experiencing the diagnostic process and avoidance." They assessed "Changes in post-traumatic symptoms in 181 women with breast cancer who participated in either a standard support group or complementary/alternative (CAM) oriented intervention." ...
