Genetic factors play an important role in the chemoprotective action of green tea for breast cancer in women. According to a recent article published in the journal Carcinogenesis, "Experimental and epidemiological data have implicated a potential chemoprotective role of green tea polyphenols and a potential enhancing role of angiotensin II in the development of breast cancer in humans."
